Children’s Workshops at the Nature Center

Sat. 12/3 @ 1:30 – Florida Snakes – Think you have heard it all before? Think again. This workshop will fascinate the novice and experts alike. Come learn fun facts about these mysterious reptiles and how they make our lives better. Spoiler alert: Live snakes will be joining us. Instructor: L. Becherelli, Sarasota County Parks Naturalist. Ages 7 and up with adult.

Sat. 3/11 @ 10:00 – Bird Behavior Scavenger Hunt – Participants will learn to identify different behavior patterns of birds and explain their function. Instructor : C. Duber, Flying Wild instructor/Bird Naturalist. Binoculars provided. Kids of all ages. 1 adult for every 2 children. Outdoors.

Ages are intended as guidelines. All children are welcome at parent’s discretion. Fee: $5.00 per child
