FT. DESOTO

From Sarasota take I-75 north and continue for 15 miles and then take the exit toward the Sunshine Skyway Bridge 275 north (exit 228/St. Petersburg). 

Meet the group leader in the parking lot of the first rest area immediately after the toll booths. We will do some birding here then continue on 275 over the bridge and take the first left hand exit (exit 17) toward the Pinellas Bayway.

At the bottom of the exit ramp turn left at the traffic light.  Continue on Pinealls Bayway through the tolls to the second traffic light and turn left (there are brown and white signs indicating the way to Ft. Desoto Park).
