Getaway trips: 2010-2011

Trinidad & Tobago: Jan 3-10 Seven nights in this birders paradise just off the coast of Venezuela. Trip leader Karen Jensen (924-2446). The trip is almost full, so call now.  

Gainevsille Area: Feb 10-12: A 2-night bus trip to this central Florida city, home to some great parks and museums. Sparrow hunting will be the highlight. Leaders Karen Jensen, 924-2446; karensarasota@yahoo.com and Jeanne Dubi. RESERVATIONS REQUIRED  

Arizona: April 16-23 Seven-night trip to southeastern Arizona, one of the very best birding locations in the U.S. Madera Canyon, Sierra Vista, including all its canyons, and Portal in the Chiricahua Mountains. Trip leaders: Jeanne Dubi, Karen Jensen, Kathryn Young. Limit of 15 people, so register early. RESERVATIONS REQUIRED  

Galapagos and Ecuador: May 8-21, 2012 (yes 2012!) This trip is in conjunction with Manatee Audubon. Because we have arranged it so far in advance, we are getting a great rate. Two nights historic Quito; 3-nights Tandayapa Lodge renowned for its startling variety of hummingbirds; 5 nights aboard our very own 20-passenger boat as we tour the Galapagos; one night back in Quito, then home to Miami.
