Guided Walk – Myakka Bridge and Crowley Nature Center
March 1 @ 7:30 am - 10:00 am
Join Sharon Wilcox to bird the Myakka River Bridge first. A spotting scope will be useful if you have one. The bridge is on Myakka Road, 1/8 mile south of the entrance to Crowley. The coordinates are 27.30156° N, 82.25399° W. Use the Crowley venue map to see the general area. Park along the shoulder of the road.
After visiting the bridge we will then go to Crowley to find resident Red-headed Woodpeckers, Eastern Bluebirds, and Loggerhead Shrike. Expect to walk about 1.5 miles in woods and on a dirt road. Restroom facilities available. There is a $4 fee to enter Crowley.
