Entry Requirements

• Photo Size: Maximum file size of 5 MB; must be submitted in JPG format.
• How to Submit: 
  • First pay your photo entry fee at this link PAYMENT LINK
  • Upon payment completion you will receive an Email with email address for photo entries.
  • In the email subject line, include the photographer’s full name.  Also include your phone number somewhere in the email.
  • The attached file should be named with the title of the photo and photographer’s name.
  • There is a  $10 fee per photograph. PAYMENT LINK
  • Enter only 2 photos per photographer.
  • Submit by February 1, 2026.
  • Submitted photos must feature birds photographed in Florida.
• Original Work:
  • Images must be the photographer’s own original work.
  • No visible copyright marks, names, or watermarks.
  • No major AI manipulation or major alterations (e.g., adding skies, clouds, or other elements).
  • Basic edits such as cropping, exposure adjustments, or minor distraction removal (e.g., a leaf) are allowed.

Entry Limits

• The contest is limited to 100 photographers.
• Each photographer may submit up to 2 photos, but only one photo per photographer may advance to the Top 20.

Juried Process

• A panel of four qualified photography judges will review all submissions.
• Judges will select the Top 20 images.
• The Top 20 will be printed by Sarasota Audubon as 8×10 prints, matted, and displayed at the Sarasota Nature Center for Public Voting.

Public Voting

• The public may vote in person at the Nature Center or online at: [to be added on February 9, 2026].
• One vote per person.

Awards

Prizes will be awarded to the top images based on public vote:

• 1st Place: $300
• 2nd Place: $200
• 3rd Place: $100
